Here’s a treat for you, my new @munaandbroad #LobethalShirt in a marbled viscose poplin from @blackbirdfabrics. I’ve been holding on to this fabric for the perfect project, and I’m so pleased with the final result. It’s floaty, comfy, and chic. I paired it with my neon #GlebePants and my dog decided she wanted to join the mini photo shoot. I’ve decided to join in on the #rssSpringSewalong fun. I’m using fabric from the Linear collection designed by @iamrashidacolemanhale. A little about me: I’m Sierra and I sew most of my clothes and sometimes bags. This will be my first quilt. I’m excited to try something different and hopefully have something cute for my dog to snuggle up with. #SeamsLikeSierra

I’m excited to share my most recent make, a top for my first QuiltCon. It’s a mixture of the @cashmerette #MontroseTop and #AltonBlouse. I used a @rubystarsociety quilting cotton designed by @iamrashidacolemanhale. I absolutely love this print and the entire Linear collection. I paired it with my linen @munaandbroad #GlebePants. I’ll be hanging out in the #SewBlackQC space today and wandering around the booths. #SewBlackQC23 #RoadToQuiltCon #SeamsLikeSierra #QuiltCon2023

2022 has been rough. I’ve come face to face with disappointment, loss, grief, and pain. I’ve also experienced joy. And that’s what I’m holding onto. The other stuff will be there. I’ll still be feeling all the feelings. But I’m looking ahead to more joy, nourishment, and freedom in the future. That’s what you see in this picture. I had no idea when I booked a headshot with @phyllis.iller that that this would be the result. I felt seen, like I was stepping into the sunlight, into focus. What a lovely place to be.

There’s a new @cashmerette club pattern out today - the #AvolaDress. I received an early copy and made this cute slip dress out of some mystery fabric in my stash. I love how it turned out. For my next version I’ll do a better job of marking and sewing my darts. That was hard this time because the fabric was so slinky. But that won’t stop me from wearing this!! It’s lounge day and my favorite thing to lounge in is the @munaandbroad #MedlowRobe. It’s voluminous, beautiful, and luxurious. This fabric is literally called lounging leopard so I took that as a sign lol. It’s an ecovero challis from @blackbirdfabrics. Today’s @munaandbroad theme is the dress. This is one of my favorite dresses because it’s pink, short, and comfortable. I lengthened the #TorrensBoxTop into a dress. I used a pink gingham linen from @wearethefabricstore. I have a Melba dress cut in this same fabric but a different colorway. How has it been 3 years already?@munaandbroad patterns, and specifically their #GlebePants changed my wardrobe. I wear these pants at least once a week. Yes, these very bright green pants. I’m very happy with how these two pieces came out. They’re the #CashmeretteClub patterns for November: the #CarollShrug & the #RockwellDress. I immediately felt fancy when I put them on. The Rockwell dress is made out of a black rayon crepe. I made the Caroll shrug in a rayon voile from my stash and lined it with leftovers from my dress. While both of these are a step outside of my usual style, I think they’ll work well with my current wardrobe.
