Me Made May 2021 Plans

It’s that time of year again — Me Made May!!! I am a bit more excited about Me Made May(MMM) than I thought I would be. I’m not sure why, but MMM tends to put me in a good mood. I will say that I wear me made garments pretty much everyday. I have some residual Ready To Wear (RTW) items in my closet that I likely will hold onto unless they become unwearable. Here’s a link to a blog post from Me Made May 2020. I didn’t document my outfits or new makes for the entire month, but I did talk a little bit about my experience.

This year I’ve decided to create a playlist with a wide array of music. I randomly went through my library and chose songs that I’ve liked at one time or another. I plan on shuffling the playlist and choosing my outfit based on that song. I think it’ll be fun to combine two of my favorite things: sewing and music. Here is the link to my playlist: Sierra’s Me Made May 2021 Playlist. I use Apple Music so that’s where I made my playlist, but I may try to make it in Spotify too. I like this approach because it highlights how my mood affects what I put on each day. I’ve never done this before and I have no idea what outfits will come together. I’m excited to see what I come up with!

In addition to my playlist I will be making a few blog posts about some of my favorite pattern companies. I’ll call them a love letter of sorts where I get to gush about why I enjoy these patterns. I don’t have a set schedule because that works best for me. I’ll try to include patterns that I’ve made multiple times. I’ve had a draft of a Tried N True (TNT) patterns post for a few months so maybe I’ll finish it up and post it in May.

Jess (@fatbobbingirl) introduced the world to #MMMayPlus & #MMMayFat so I thought I would share a few of my favorite hashtags to follow:
